Default Windows Defender (Beta 2) Update Problem

I'm having problems with Windows Defender (Beta 2). It's telling me that the defiinitions etc. haven't been update for at least 14 days. I have Automatic Updates selected and just tried to update manually but it's still telling me they haven't been updated for at least 14 days.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi Paul!

I've never used Windows Defender, but could it be that there simply are no updates (yet)?
Also, it's a beta right? This may cause these kinds of problems.

I also have that problem. I go into Microsoft Update and it tells me to update the definitions. I do the update, and it still shows the update needed everytime I do microsoft update. I don't think it is a big deal as Microsoft Defender is still in Beta.

You could try rebooting PC and see if that takes care of the problem. I haven't tried that yet.

Thanks for your input IOWNAPC2006!
I now understand that there is an updates, but after downloading it, it still says that there's an update.
Well, as far as I can see now that simply because it's the beta.

Nope, it's not just you. I'm going to try rebooting PC in a minute. I'll let you know if it helps.
