tried killbox, first of all said that "this file could not be deleted when trying to delete the entire folder, then (lol), "this file does not seem to exist" when trying to delete one of the four files individually...i can assure you however they are there, perhaps their ghosts?

i notice that the program Hijackthis has a feature under misc tools to delete files on reboot, never used it, but it would be worth a shot. do you have ntfs file system? or fat?

Thanks for the help again..but absolutely nothing seems to work, though im sure there is a way somewhere...whenever i try to remove them manually it says that it cant read the source file or disk. Ill try the hackthis prog but i doubt it employs any techniques any different to the several already suggested on here...its just like having a constant itch you cant get at, incredibly annoying..

im actually thinking of formatting the drive since its not on the same hard drive as my OS, however the hard drive it is on is a System disk and wont allow me to format it...erm...so how do i do that then? im guessing it doesnt allow me to do it because there's some important stuff hidden on there somewhere, though i cant seem it in windows, but can i format it anyway? possibly from a boot disk floppy, Fdisk?
