I am running at the moment avg/spybot/ad-aware/ewido.I would like to have a realtime scanner,would running spywareblaster/guard work ok with what i have and which one would be best(blaster or guard):icon_scra

Why not use the excellent Microsoft Antispyware program (used to be Giant Antispyware). It has a "real-time" scanner as part of the package.

I had tried before to use microsoft program but my version of xp does not pass authenticity test.Where i bought my pc they must have liscence to just copy onto system as i have no xp discs.

If you bought youre version of windows in the store , disc or no disc it should still pas authenticity. If not then they are selling illegle versions of windows.

I believe if you report that to MS and still have proof of purchase that MS will give you a free legit XP disc/lisence.

I take it that is why my windows firewall never worked. I think i'll be paying them a visit tommorrow.

Maybe , i dont think MS has disabled youre firewall because it is apperantly not a legit windows , but maybe there is something wrong with the version that store is using.
