I'm currently running avg and ad aware with standard windows firewall and still managed to get infected.
Can you recommend a good combo of free programs to use that work well with each other.
If i use another firewall,do i have to turn windows firewall off?:undecided

AVG is a good AV , and i just mentioned anti spyware apps like spybot and ewido in youre hjt topic.

But as far as i can see , youre windows firewall is not running and that might be the reason you got infected. But i must add that you can never be 100% protected , but a good av and firewall and keeping windows up to date comes a long way.

You can have a look in our download section for some free firewalls , and yes , if you use a third party firewall then windows firewall should be disabled.
