 Hi Scotty,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a terrific Security Team, and I am sure that we will be able to solve your Winfixer problem.

I will take a look at your HijackThis log, but I know that I am going to have to ask you to follow the instructions in the PreWork link in my signature, so why don't you get started on that, and I will see what I can with the first HJT log you've posted.

Meet you back here.

TTFN

Hey Scotty,

Part of the problem may be that you have OVER protected your PC which will cause conflicts and problems. You need to make sure you are only using ONE each of Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, and Firewall at any time for monitoring. You can have, and it is recommended that you have multiple programs to use for scanning.

You are running HijackThis from a temporary folder. Before reposting, please make sure that it has been installed into its own folder and all other instructions in Prework have been followed.

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

No problem Scotty,

What you need to do is unzip it into its own folder. Doesn't really matter where the folder is, when you unzip the program, (reinstall) it needs a permanent address. If you look at the last item under Running Processes, you will see your HijackThis location is showing as being in a temp folder.

Remove all hjt entry's in add/remove programs and delete the "old " hjt's and redownload it and unzip it to its own folder.

But what are the symptoms of youre problem? Apart from being overprotected as LGW already stated , you dont seem to have any infection on there.
