These are the programs I use for Antispyware and Antivirus:

1. Spybot S&D
2. McAfee Security Center
3. Spyware Guard
4. Spyware Blaster
5. CW Shredder
6. Microsoft Antispyware
7. Adaware SE Personal
8. Reg Mech (once in a while to clean registry)
9. Windows Firewall

My question is: Are any of these programs not needed? Do a few of tem do the same exact thing as another hence making them useless? Please tell me what I can or should get rid of while still keep my computer just as safe. Thankyou. :-)

Can disable these, if you dont know how let me know

The other's you can keep running, since cws shredder is not running all the time and adware se personal does not have the active shiields that spyware guard has

But you have mcafee running you dont need M$ firewall running.

Are you sure I should disable Windows Firewall? My Mcafee doesn't have the firewall on it....so what covers firewall in those apps??

ok, i'll just keep windoes firewall. I got rid of microsoft antispyware (which was only a Beta anyway). thank you for the help. One more thing, SpywareGuard automatically starts-up right? Or do I have to put it in the startup folder or registry or something?
