Spyware / AdWare - [Answered] application for stopping pop ups posted in the Security & Safety forums; Hey were can good site to download to stop pop ups? Because i have cable modem and i get thousands of pop ups and it drives me crazy....

Hey were can good site to download to stop pop ups? Because i have cable modem and i get thousands of pop ups and it drives me crazy.

If you have Windows XP then upgrade to Servicepack 2 - it has a great pop-up stopper included!

if that doesnt work for you, Adaware had a program that comes with it the is absolutly amazing at blockin pop-ups!

Or and goole toolbar or msn... Hengis is right though Windows sp2 does a great job also.

another great way of stopping pop-ups is to use opera browser, it has an in built pop-up stopper, i have been using for almost 2 years now and i haven't seen a pop-up since. the latest version 8 has alot more features that will help you online
