Welcome Dave.

What are you asking for? Recommended Anti-Spyware programs?

Prevention or cure...or both ?

Hi Hengis

I guess I'm looking for both....system has started to slow up and these "freebies" tell me I've problems albeit I run Nortons. So I'm looking for corrective action to resolve any issues and then load software to prevent future probs.

Currently run XP

Ok, the best thing to do first is to grab this: Microsoft AntiSpyware - install it - update it and run it. Say "Yes" to the default install settings.

Also get this: Ad-Aware AntiSpyware - do the same Install, Update and Run it.

That's for starters....let us know how you get on

Hi Hengis

Sorry didn't get earlier...many thanks for your help, appears to be better. However, just one more thing....!!!!!
I am now getting inundated with pop ups - solution please. I did have a pop up blocker but appear to have lost it and they're becoming a real pain!! :x

Kind regards

Dave

Windows XP service pack 2 comes with an excellent pop-up stopper that integrates with the Internet Explorer browser....so upgrade to SP2

-OR-

I found the best "paid-for" pop-up stopper was: Popup Cop
