Hi, me again. I was today given a pc that was having problems so i reinstalled "microsoft windows xp pro sp3" and everything is now running like a dream except for the sound - there is none! When i try to play a music file in WMP 11 i get the following message;-
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."
When i go into "adjust the system volume" it says "no audio device".
So i went to the Packard Bell website and found the sound driver (i think) for my motherboard here and still i'm left with nothing.
Motherboard is a Packard Bell bv istart 2369.
