My audio devices are working but no sound is heard from them when i connect them to my laptop. I'm using Windows XP OS...sound is coming when i connect external audio devices to my laptop in Ubuntu... i think there must be problem with drivers..but when i checked for any error display in device manager i found nothing regarding..
please someone kindly help me out with this problem
if possible provide me the exact link for the driver also..the driver that i downloaded from the official hp site does not solve this problem...

HP Pavilion dv2214tu laptop
OS: Windows XP
Conexant HD audio

Can you please try and install the Conexant High Definition Audio Driver from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=id&product=339 8115〈=en

and see if that works.

But my laptop is not AMD processor..can i still install that driver??

hmm ... when i do a google search it comes with AMD.

I'll mark this thread open so a tech can take over.

PS, don't install the AMD driver if you processor is Intel.

You might try downloading HP's Software Update tool. It will manage driver updates for you.

I even tried HP Software update tool but still the problem is not rectified
