Default Problem with PC Audio/Mic Jacks

Hi, my USB Speakers work fine on my PC, but whenever i plug in a headphone or mic on the jacks (front and back) the computer detects that i have disconnected a jack and when i plug it in, it says i disconnected a headphone from the jack...so i can never use any headphones or mic....i dont get it, the program that detects this is Realtek HD Audio Manager....

I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling but still no luck

and in the sound settings i can see the default device buy the other ones such as my headphones are not there...

anyone have any ideas ??

Hi,
At this stage and not knowing any details about your system other than it is the on board sound and not a separate sound card, it looks like the leads from those jacks are wrongly connected to the mother board connections. Have the jack sockets ever worked or not?

1. What type of USB speakers are they whats the make and model?

2. Do the speakers have a head phone jack on them?

I think what the problem is the PC thinks the speakers should be in the green plug like normal ones do

Oh yeah I forgot to you how rude of me I just noticed your new here hope you like it here at PCHF!
