Pending: no bass - 2.1 speaker system

Hi, i have a 2.1 speaker system, and my pc uses a soundmax audio driver. Currently, my speakers works as if they were normal speakers, without any bass, and that the bass/treble control bars found in the advanced options of the volume option are faded out/unclickable on.
Is it a sound driver issue, if not, what is the problem if my wire connection is fine.
Need help solving it, pls pardon my poor technical terms if I get them wrong. Thanks!

If you could just post your PC specs, along with what operating system you are using and that should speed things up nicely

Macaroon,

Have you searched for updated drivers on your sound card? That's one possibility. Another is that your sound card must have mixer capability. I've found something that says without an installed mixer, the bass/treble won't be available.
