[Answered] Sound Card with an Optical Output
I am looking for a sound card that has an optical output so I can connect it to an optical input of a surround sound reciever.
The reason is that I am making a digital juke box for a home bar. The PC I want to make this with will have a LCD monitor on the wall behind the bar to provide visualizations to the music. I will also hook up a digital cable reciever to the LCD monitor and will hook that up to the surround sound reciever as well for TV watching. The sound reciever will have speakers surrounding the bar. This is why I want the sound card to output to the surround sound reciever with optical cables. I want all the speakers to play music as well, not just the front left and right.
if anyone knows a brand that makes a sound card with an optical output, can you please post a link to the card. thanks
