The amp definitely has an optical output, i'm hooking up the whole lot 2moro and will let you know the results. Thanks for all your patience and help with these things, I know its been a long one lol.

Well it seems that the optical is a no-go. I hooked it up fine but I was getting no luck getting any sound out of it. I tried mixing with options and and the like in Realtek HD Audio Manager and in Vista's sound options with no results. Back to the drawing board it seems...

Update: Look at this! I just came across it when I was looking around, so with that in mind...any ideas?



All I see are 6 slots that are exactly the same, like little microphone slots all next to each other. If necessary, I can take a picture of the back of the PC and upload it to my server and link it here.

FINAL UPDATE: Scratch that, turns out that I somehow messed up with the Audio Manager, somehow not selecting 5.1 and instead stereo. It now works through optical. HOORAH!!!!
