Default No sound on Youtube and other sites?

Hi, I have problems with sound. I have sound when I play video games, play music that is on my hard-drive, and sound on some websites. I do not have sound when I look at youtube, or recently I went to the A&E website to watch tv shows, and I do not get sound. I checked that everything is plugged in, and sound is turned up on the computer, but like I said it is only some things that do not have sound. Any advice? Thanks.

Well I have read 12 pages on this sound forum and found other people with the exact same problem. It seems there is an easy fix, system restore! However, I went into my system restore and it was not turned on! So I have no point in time I can restore too.... #$%!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me????

Which web browser are you using?

If you are using IE7 click on Tools/Internet Options/Click on the Advanced tab/Scroll down to "Multimedia and make sure the box beside "Play sounds in webpages" is checked.

It's esssentially the same for IE6. This link describes the process: Accessibility Tutorials for Internet Explorer 6: Turn On or Turn Off Play Sounds in Web Pages

It sounds like you might be having a problem with your Flash player or whatever ad-on is used to play those videos by your browser. You could try un-installing them via Add/Remove programs. Then re-install them.

Those are the only browsers I have experience with. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
