Default Audigy 2 ZS Pro - only works on one pci slot

Hello,
I've got a problem with my Audigy 2 ZS Pro sound card. Since my graphic card is overheating i had to put on a bigger fan near it, and to do so i had to move my audigy to another pci slot cause otherwise there was no space to put the fan in. I've tried all (i think i have 3 of them? i can check this out if it's important) pci slots, and the audigy only works on one of them, the one near the graphic card. If I put it in either of the other two slots, when i try to install the drivers, it says something like "...can't detect the device, first install the hardware, then the drivers...". And now i can either have an overheating graphic card with the soundcard or motherboard soundcard with cooled graphic card
this sucks

does anybody know why wouldn't the audigy work on any other slot? and it possible to somehow make it work? any help is greatly appreciated!

Ps: my motherboard is Asus M2N-e

Hi

I know for a fact that there was a problem with Creative cards being unable to use more than one PCI slot on certain motherboards (Asus, ASRock and DFI if my memory serves me right). Make sure you have disabled on-board sound in the BIOS too...and consider flashing/updating your BIOS firmware to the latest version from your PC or motherboard manufacturers site.
