Default Using 5.1 Speakers with TV

Hi folks,

I've just recently purchased a Nintendo Wii and a few games for it. I've noticed some of these games, Metroid Prime 3 in particular, are very atmospheric and have very high quality sound.

My current television has terrible speakers and sound output so I have been considering hooking up a more powerful system to my television to receive the entire atmospheric experience from these games and of course other media viewed via television.

I have been wondering if instead of going out and purchasing a new sound system for my television, I can perhaps use my 5.1 Logitech system with my TV.

I'm kind of clueless on how I might do this. I have a Audigy 2 ZS (Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS review @ TechSpot). Only thing I can think of is possibly doing some type of conversion to the line-in port. Maybe RCA to 1/8" ?

Anyways, if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!

I suggest going to RadioShack and getting an adapter that will convert the stereo jack from the speakers to the Composite/Optical you're using for the TV (which should have an Audio Out port). If you're going to keep these speakers on your computer, too, you can get a splitter with a switch so you don't have to plug/unplug.
