Exclamation No sound

Ok, im totally lost so i registed here see if you guys can help.

I bought a new computer about 5 months ago and jsut last week i replaced Vista with Windows XP Professional and my speakers stopped working and when i check my sound system, no speakers are installed. These were not working atall so i decided to use Speakers from my old computer that worked when i had Windows XP Professional with my old computer, but it wont work. I tried to Add New Hardware in control Panel, opened Device Manager, do'ya know how to fix this?
Thanks,

Welcome to PC Help Forum.

It's far more likely that your soundcard isn't installed properly. Can you tell us the exact make and model of your PC.

Like..Dell, HP, Packard Bell etc..?

If you bought it from a store then there should be a sticker on the back with all of that information.
