Hi there, i have a jack on the front of my PC but it doesn't work, i have tried the jack at the back and it works fine both for head phones and speakers, but i have tried the headphones and the speakers in the front jack but nothing, i know i can use the jack at the back but my headphones won't reach so i have to use the headphone socket on the speakers but it's just annoying, please could you tell me how to fix this problem, thanks in advance Adam.

If you know it can you tell me your motherboard make and model.

it's a shop built Packard Bell, but i'm afraid i don't know the make of the mother board sorry.

Should be fine unless anything has been dislodged inside. Does anything else work in the front ports?

Also try going to Volume Control then under Microphone click Advanced then check Enable Front Panel Microphone.

yeah as a matter of fact i've got my PSP plugged into the USB port and it's working fine i can access it and everything.
