Hi!
I bought a second-hand computer some time ago. alls works fine now except I don't get any sound.
I installed and reinstalled the proper drivers but I get ...no sound.
I used both speakers and headphones on the rear- and frontconnection...no sound
There is nothing muted, I checked everything. Also, with the driver came a program called VIA Audio Deck, in this program you can see that when I play music, there are those 'waves' of sound if you get what I mean

Why don't I get any sound of it, though the drivers are installed and the settings are allright?
Also, here (attachment) is a part of a scan of
DriverAgent.com Fix Your Driver Problems Instantly with Driver Agent, it shows that the proper driver is installed...
Owh, wait, now I see some other trouble. There are several manufacturers (?) of the soundcard, at leat Vinyl and RealTek. I don't know if the driver from one or another makes any difference?
and to make it even more complicated, when I go to Asus and check drivers for my motherboard (A7V8X-X according to Everest Home Edition), I can download drivers for SoundMax???? This is not the soundcard Vinyl AC'97 (also according to Everest Home Edition)...
