I'll keep this short and sweet. After a re-install of my os, Xp sp2, my sound card is no longer detected, through Devce manager, directx diagnostic tool or using barlac advisor. Under the mulitimedia tab within barlac "None detected". I realise it's just a case of downloading and installing the correct drivers, the only problem is that I have no idea what model or even make my sound card is, although I believe it's made by sigmatel. My manufacturers manuals have long been discarded. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

You could download and run the System info utility from my sig-- it will give you everything you have in your PC.
Then you can go download any manuals you want from the makers sites.

Problem sorted, out of luck I downloaded the correct driver lol. Thanks for the replies guys.
