Default Front case jacks

When you use the front jacks, does it cut the back ones off? Like on a cdplayer and such. I'm playing around with using net2 phone again and was testing my head set with the MS sound recorder. I can't hear it well. Is it because I need to move a bunch of junk around and unplug speakers from rear. Or, perhaps radio shak junk headset? Thanks bb

When using the front jacks on most PC's it disables the back port but this may not be the case on all PC's it would depend on the sound card. With the headset if you can hear a set of speakers ok then it must just be a crappy headset some headsets have a volume adjustment on the lead that plugs into the PC is it turned up all the way?

Any case that i've ever enabled the front ports (even hp/ibm/etc) cases...the front jacks never cut out the rear jacks...*shrug*

My one at home cuts out the back port if head phones are pluged in the front jack. It annoys me regularly my 3 kid use the head phone all the time so when I go to play a movie hooked up to my stereo throught the back ports I get no sound damb kids left the head phone plugged in

My box cuts off rear jacks when using front. Cheap headset or my ears. Haven't tried it with both my hearing aids in ;-) Thanks bb
