There sure is mate, you will need
  • A tape deck
  • A cable
You will basically just connect either the phono out to or the headphone jack on the tape deck to the line in or mic on your computer, you'll need a relevant cable.

If you are connecting headphone to line in you will need either a 6.3mm (1/4") Jack to 3.5mm (1/8") jack or 3.5 to 3.5 depending on the size of the headphone socket in the tape deck, If you're going from phono you need a phono to 3.5 cable.

Once it's connected you will need some recording software, I like Audacity since it's easy to use and you just set it to record from line in or mic/whichever you have it plugged into, set the tape to play and click record, from there you can export it or you can split it into tracks, normalise, amplify, etc etc.

Hope this answers your question.

You can get em cheaper but maplins is convenient, for me atleast
3.5mm Stereo Plug to Plug Lead
Twin Phono to 3.5mm Stereo Jack Lead
1/4” Stereo Plug to 3.5mm Mono Socket Adaptor (3.5 to 6.3mm adaptor, if needed)

Yeah, any generic sound card with line in/mic will do it just fine, the creative should be great!

Cheers and I take it your name is a reference to cheech and chong?
