You don't have the option to uninstall any? What else is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers", and do you have the option to uninstall under safe mode (press F8 during startup)?

when i expand sound video and game controllers, audio codecs
legacy audio drivers
legacy video capture devices
media control devices
video codec
these pop down

righto, went to safe mode, deleted 5 drivers under sound video and game controllers, and installed new ones (in safe mode). told me it couldnt find drivers an to reboot.done so in normal, installed, rewritten over files and then asked to reboot.still detecting new hardware and asking for software, u want my phone number?

elle, the process will be, to uninstall in safe mode. Reboot. You should hopefully have a "Found New Hardware" wizard appear. This needs to be cancelled. What appears to be happening, is that the drivers are installed before the setup wizard has chance to install them.
