Default anyone recommend this x-fi soundcard?

does anyone know if this card is worth buying. ive seen some people complaining about sound issues and they may be chipset related. but the chipset that i have doesnt match the ones they suspect that are causing the problems.

hi epc...i personally dont recomend x-fi sound cards....any of them...because all ive heard about and experienced is bad quality audio.

Id just stick with the Audigy4.

hey sry for such a late reply. ive been swamped with school work thankfully ill be done in early may. yea ive heard a lot of the same about the x-fi sound cards. some say they are good and some say they dont give you the quality that your looking for. im not one for spending $180 or whatever for a soundcard that gives you the same sound quality.

Hello Epc51...

I just installed one for a lady about a month ago. She was very pleased with the quality. I on the other hand found it wanting. The sound thru the headset sounded tinny. I must say after jumping thu many hoops I got the sound tweaked. The X-FI sound cards are not for everyone...
