Default nForce audio problems

My nForce audio has gone mental. Drivers updated and it stopped working. I've tried rolling back. When I click on the NVmixer it says there is no nForce installed and to check for nForce audio codec interface component is in device manager...it is there and says it is working properly. If I go into sound in control panel it says there are no audio devices but the hardware does show up in the hardware tab. Please help.

Hello SenorKristobbal,

Welcome to PCHF.

What was the purpose of updating? And also, can you give me some details about your PC, make, model, motherboard e.t.c.?

Hello Senor, can you try this one, it's a combi driver, but should sort your problem out: http://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...266-vm/245.zip

are there any other sources for this. The download speed is poor and it keeps failing half way

OK, let's troublshoot!

- Have you tried the original driver that normally comes with the motherboard driver cd?
- Can you try another set of speakers or headphones to make sure it's not a co-insidence that your speakers haven't failed at the same time.
- In Device Manager, can you list the devices you see under the Sounds and Audio Devices section.
- Also in Device Manager, are there any devices with exclaimation of question marks against them?
