hi i was recently given a pc but i cannot get sound on it at all i have looked on device manager and in other devices there is pci device with a question mark i really dont no what to do




system model: Trigem computer inc advent series
Enclosure type: desktop
Board:Trigem computer inc palmdale 2.00
bus clock 800 mghz
bios ami 080011 03/17/2005
3.20 ghz pentium 4
windows xp professional sp 2

hope thats enough info hope you can help

go to start > run > type in 'dxdiag' > go to the sound tab and tell us what the name of the device is under the device box on the upper left. Probably have to reinstall drivers or something.

hi people thank u for answering so quickly, as for the model number it says advent t2 series and mat No. 156201, and on dxdiag it says no sound card was found. But it is on my motherboard???? any ideas people thanks alot

i cannot the drivers do you no any where i could get them please or use an alternative please thanks

Yes, it's going to be a case of finding the chipset/mobo drivers. We will need some info from you first tho'.
Also, do you have a model number for your Trigem PC?
