Sound etc - [Resolved] Mic not working on new pc build posted in the Hardware forums; So I just built me a new pc and everything went smoothly as normal...except for the fact that the **** microphone is not working. I'm not sure what to make ...

Default [Resolved] Mic not working on new pc build
So I just built me a new pc and everything went smoothly as normal...except for the fact that the **** microphone is not working. I'm not sure what to make of it now. I have a BioStar 945P-A7A MOBO w/integrated audio: Realtek ALC655 audio chipset. My audio seems fine as far as sound goes...everything is output to my speakers just fine. So I thought maybe I had a bad jack so I hooked up the input on the front panel of my case to my MOBO...but with no luck as well. I have tested this through Windows and it does not get any sound. Nothing is muted and my jack is set for mic in when viewing my settings in my driver settings. I've checked w/three different microphones but nothing...any thoughts, suggestions, comments, etc. would be very appreciated!

And then I see the post below on a similar problem...I will check that thread then come back again if not fixed.

It works now...letting windows install my realtech driver worked...go figure.
