Hello fellow Wolf

Welcome to PC Help Forums

This is indeed strange, but I'm sure our Technical team can offer you some good advice regarding this issue.
If I could ask you to be patient for just a short while they come online.

I wolf!

Welcome to PCHF.

- Can you go to My Computer, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices.
- Click on the Audio tab.
- Under the section "Sound Recording", click Volume.

The problem you may be having, is that "Stereo Mix" or "Audio Mix" is selected at the bottom. Put a tick in "Microphone" instead and see if the noise goes away?

The colours don't always match, but how does it sound with rear mic ticked by itself? If not, can you tell me the name of the default device in Sound and Audio Properties?
