Default Speaker noise

Not really a big problem but when I turn the sound up or down with my creative speakers, they sometimes lose balance(the one gets louder than the other). And always when I turn volume up or down there is a strange noise coming from the speakers as if there were some electric cable touching another, you know this zzzz noise.
Any idea? I can survive like this but would be nice to know what could be causing it.
I've tried pluging them out and in again but still the same

On the drivers for your sound card is it set to the middle for balancing?
