I want to install a SB XFI extreme card in my Dell that has on board sound. Do I just install the new car or do I have to disable the current sound chip? What would be the best way to do that?
I really don't want to call DELL because I seem more confused after I talk with them.
Your PC does have integrated sound so yes, if you add a soundcard you will need to just switch off the onboard sound in your bios. Pressing F2 on boot will take you to the bios screens.
