Default LOGITECH X-530 VS soundblaster audigy newly intallled card

Yesterday, I had both a soundblaster Audigy card installed and I purchased a set of Logitech X-530 speakers. My old onboard motherboard sound had died and I had not saved the motherboard drivers so...I decided to go for all new and improved. But I have no sound yet. To help you help me, here is a list of all the actions done:

old onboard motherboard drivers de-activated successfully
new Audigy installed by professional and reponds to tests sucessfully
I do hear audio fine through headset
Cable were checked several times
No devices conflicts were detected
A complete windows help procedure was run with no success
I did not uninstall and re-install the drivers
I did check that they were the most recent

Is there a known compatibility problem between that soundcard and the Logitech x-530? If not, what could be wrong?

Doris

Default as an addition

Of course I did check that none of the mute check boxes were checked. What did you think?

Hi doristh, and welcome to the PCHF!

First question, and it may sound a bit demeaning (for which I apologise), but it's something I always ask first. Have you plugged the speaker cables into the new audigy, and not the onboard sound card?

Ok, excellent

Now, what version of Audigy did you get?

1 2 or 4?

That's ok.
Most likely audigy2...

When you say that the headset is working, but the logitech speakers aren't, are they plugged in to the same plug? or is one at the front of the case, and one at the back, etc.
