something is up with my speakers... Lately i have been having to turn the volume up more and more just to get the same volume level... now I have to turn the volume up all the way to just barely hear it. I have Gateway GMAX 2100 speakers and I just wanna know how to fix it so I can keep it at the normal level for normal sound

Hi Pingel, and welcome to the forum.

How old are these speakers? It sounds like they may be dying

Hi, did you try plugging in either other speakers OR headphones into the socket to check that it's the speakers and not the soundcard or settings that are at fault.

Can you try other speakers if you think your headphones are broken?
