The volume on my PC has suddenly gone really low. All the volume bars are at their highest, e.g Windows Media Player, i-Tunes, and the volume on my speakers (monitor speakers) and sound control from the control panel are all at their highest but the sound is still low???Any Ideas?

Maybe a cut in the soundcable from your pc to the audio-system. Try another cable?

Hi sam1_r!
My welcome to PC Helpforum!

Does it happen on really every sound on your PC?
Could you eventually post back a screenshot of your Volume Control? Is Wave at the highest volume too?

Yes, all sounds are low. All music, video playback and the normal Windows tones are at a low volume. Here is a screenshot of the volume settings.

Hello Sam,

As I said, cause the problem suddenly occured and you never had the same problem before, I think the problem is caused by your cable.

The volume of wave is indeed a good thing. Normally, wave is founded near the volume. To go into the volume, go to start-allprograms-Bureau-accessoires-Entertainment-Volume control (this is better then trying to look for the logo in the systremtray as not everysystem has that). Then you should see a screen like this:

Don't mind this is in dutch, the position of the controls should be the same. So the first two should be @ the highest level.
