Um hello this is my first post and I have the same problem. I have a dell 600m and my volume buttons are not working. But the volume works, if I set is manually. I tried downloading the file that Rachel used to fix hers, but my computer only recognizes it as a .drv file, and when I double click it, it says "Open With". I don't know if anyone is here, but if you can please help me guys.

No I dont use spycatcher. Since it wouldnt work, I did a DELL PC RESTORE, which removes all of my files!!!! AND IT STILL WONT WORK . HELP!

In regard to the .drv file, that is a driver file, and is usually not accessed by clicking on it. Try this , download the attached file , unpack it and copy it to youre system32 folder and reboot.
