 Hi Chaitanya,

We understand, my son is in the eighth grade, and homework takes a lot of time.

We just need you to look at all of the items in your device manger and see if there are any yellow or red triangles with Excalmation points, and if there are, post back with what they are.

Look forward to hearing from you.

OK, I went to Device Manager, and absolutely none of then had yellow or red triangles with exclamation points. Just to clarify, where do you usually see the triangles?

Thanks, I'm waiting for your reply.

They would be infront of the hardware entry's and if they where there , you'll see them for sure.

First press the "System" button in the top left , and then press on the little arrow next to it and select "info to clipboard" , then rightclick/paste the info in youre next post here?
Can you do the above aswell? Then we'll try to find a sound driver for youre pc , maybe that helps.

I have a dell 600m and my volume buttons are not working. But the volume works, if I set is manually.

I just found out my volume up button works, but not the rest.
And to make sure we know what the prob is , what is exactly not working?

Do you mean the volume button of youre speaker set is working , and/or the windows/players volume controlls?
And has it worked before? Like if you mean equalizer settings , it could be that youre soundcard/chip just doesn't support it.

Unhappy

Well OK I don't know where to start..

1) The volume buttons used to work the first 3-4 months we got it, it was recently that they did not work, so the sound card supports it.

2) NONE of the buttons work anymore. After I got the file ladygreenwitch put on, my Volume Up does not work. But, there is a button called Fn, and there are V-Up, V-Down, and Mute buttons that are on Page dn, Page Up, and End, and those work absolutely perfectly. It is just that the ones on the top near the power button don't work.

3) I tried running it, but when I ran it, all of the information was empty. Anyway, I did what you told me to do, I clicked on 'Info To Clipboad', but then my computer FROZE. I had to manually restart the computer, and now I am posting to you right now.

4)HELP.

 Hi Chaitanya,

It's OK, stay calm and breathe, if you drink milk, go get a glass, milk is very good for stress.

OK, what I think is that Joe5 and I are still a little confused by wherer the controls you keep talking about are located. Are they icon controls in your monitor, or are they keyboard keys, or are they on your speakers?

Just so we can all be sure we are talking about the same things, lets call any control on the monitor an icon, and any real life button you push, like on your keyboard, a button.

The file you are referring to, is that the one I gave you instructions for? The one Joe asked you to install?

I think it might be a good idea to check you out for malware. (rotton little monsters, rlms can cause all kinds of problems.)
Let me know if you think you are good at following instructions. Click on the link in my signature that says PreWork, read that, and tell me if you think you can do that without help.

I'll look forward to your post.

If you can tell me how to upload a picture, I can show a clear picture of my issue. Thanks.
