Hi I'm having a major problem.

I have an Audigy 2 running in the Ubuntu distro of linux. i can get sound out of the card but the line in doesn't seem to want to do anything.

I have an onboard sound card which despite being disabled in the BIOS still plays sound if chosen and I'm using Audacity, though it's not the only program the input won't work on. I can't seem to get it to work on either of my machines (home or studio) and i really need to get this to work. Does anyone know a workaround or soltion or should i just find a different distribution? Using windows is not an option due to legality and budget and I cannot afford to buy another soundcard.
