OK guys,
i'm really frustrated here, ready to kick some ***...
if someone could give me a hand i will be more than helpfulll. really...:hello2:
I've searched around this forum, which looks buy the way a great place to hang out... but didn't find any cure for my pain..
i've just formatted my computer (had some bad sectors on my HDD so i've replaced it) and for some reason the P5AD2 deluxe cannot find the onboard sound card. this is a CMI (C-MEDIA) sound card. whenever i try to update the driver it says that i do not have a sound card on and i should put it manually and stuff like that (hmm... this is an ONBOARD).
Now, I tried to put the original cd that i got from the manufacture of the MB and the same thing happening... i've downloaded a new driver from ASUS site- the same again.
in the device manager i see a yellow mark under unknown pci-device, but i don't know if this is it (is my onboard sound card is a PCI???). i try to update it, walk through with it to the specific path up till the folder of the driver but nothing. it says that this is not the correct driver for the hardware, so maybe it something else... i'm really down here... please help...
under sounds, game and controller there was a legacy audio driver, which i deleted unintentionally and cannot put it up again... regarding trying to erase all the drivers from Sounds, Game and etc... is a failure cause win xp does not allow to uninstall this stuff.
i read in a thread that you, guys, answered a few days ago to some nice boy, and you asked him to copy a picture of the device manager... well it's attached...
furtheremore, i installed the s/w you told him (lavalys) but it gave me a whole lotta output... what exactly do you care to see?
thanks alot guys.. I mean it...:angel5:
