i am trying to be a dj i use a braodcasting program called Sam. at first i could not use my mic with this program it would freeze the program then my pc would fail and shut down no error and none in the events log. ok so i went to windows update they had updated drivers for my sound,? good i thought. and good it was, i can now use the mic with the program. but now my mp3 play awful slow, fast, skipping when played in media player or wimamp or real player, even sound recorder when playing wav has a crakling sound. I supected cpu's? but when cheking task manager they are not high.

i gave the basic problem so you think you can help me?

:-) Hey DJ Satin,

Welcome to PCHF. Wow a real broadcasting DJ, . We have some wonderful hardware guys on this site, I unfortunately am not one of them. I am sure one of them will be online shortly and be able to help you solve your sound issues.

Just a couple of questions,
have you made sure that All of computer updates are done?

Have you checked Device Manager to see if any of your audio devices are showing a yellow exclamation mark?

Have you made sure that your codecs are all updated?

Hang in there someone will be along soon, when you are up and running, you will have to give us a link so we can check you out!!

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hi there DJ Satin,

Well, I don't know a lot about audio hardware, but do you think it might be possible your computer may be infected with a virus, spyware and/or adware?

:-) The chances are it isn't. Good for you searching for multiple programs. It could, however, very well be malware, but my bets are on some kind of software or hardware conflict.

Hang in there, the guys will be back soon.
