oh that was what i had windows updated me to the one i have now Via Tech VT8361/Vt8601 grahpic controler
note i also have the 4in1 driver and the VIA_HyperionPro which installs the right drivers for Via chipsets
was this the wrong thing to do? being i have via chipset on the mother boards thats why i installed them from the via driver update page i did this some time ago.

Have you had any other errors popup or was it only that one time?

Did you check within your SAM software to see whether there is an sound options section?
Also does your mic work properly within Windows?

no the mic does not work properly using sound recorder i hear my vioce but as if i am micky mouse under water. but if i just talk throught the mic not using any program to record it it sounds fine

and the setting in Sam is fine i think lol that program i knwo nothign about the owner of the station helped me set it up the way it shoudl be i dare not touch any settings his words he also says its a hardware problem not a problem in sam because no one else has problems using it at the settings he has set
