I just downloaded both of those files, loaded them on my computer, rebooted my system....still no sound.

When I'm in Device Manager, under Other devices, I see a ? mark on the icon of Multimedia Audio Control. Is this normal?

Have a look at the 3rd option box on this page and make sure you select the right sub model for youre card:

Also you could try reinstalling youre motherbaord drivers to see if that helps.

I'm about to call it quits and take my computer to get looked at or buy a new sound card. Nothing is working. My computer is saying everything associated with the sound card is working properly, yet I still have no sound. I wasn't playing my music loud or anything, so why would the speakers blow out?
