I probably should have said this in the first post, but I never thought of it. When I go into Sounds and Audio Devices, it says "No Audio Device". We have another computer and it says "SoundMAX Digital Audio". I also looked at the speakers for anything that said that, but it only said Yamaha on it. I think we might have done something wrong with connecting the sound. If it helps, I also play Warcraft 3 and when I first enter it it says "Unable to initialize base sound services, base sound is disabled". Again, thanks for the help.

Alright could you do the following, open up your "Device Manager" by going to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager.

Check to see whether there is a sound card installed there or whether it has a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

Then could you run the following program and post the log onto the site, that way we can determine what model you board is and point you in the right direction to find your drivers.

When I do that, I see no yellow exclamation point. I saw it before, but it seems like I fixed the problem that caused the yellow exclamation point. Also, I would like to know, what exactly does that lavalys thing do? I'm really 15 and trying to fix my sound, because my dad doesn't really know how we would. My dad never really has the time to do this, so he told me that I should get some information online and try to fix it.

Lavalys (Everest Home Edition) basically scans through your computer and detects what you currently have installed, from your motherboard to your hard drive,RAm e.t.c
It opens up an HTML page and displays all the information.

It would help us to identify what motherboard you are running and therefore what sound card you are using. Then we can find the correct drivers on the net for you.
