hey guys. i first bought myself a set of Logitech X-530 speakers hoping that it would work on my computer. Unfortunately, it did not. So, i went out, and bought myself a Creative USB Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External sound thing. I dont know how to set it up, and would someone please guide me through? thanks!

It's USB so you should just be able to plug it into your PCs USB port and run the setup cd...

yeah, i know it's USB. but after i plug it in, there are three wires. Green, Black, and Orange. i dont know where they go. everytime i plug one wire into the slot that says "Front", it works, but the one that says "Rear" and "C/SUB" dont work.

Looks like you need to go into youre soundcard options and set it to 5.1 speaker setup. It is probebly in 2 speaker mode right now.

how do i do that? is it in control panel?

Have a look in controll panel for "audioHQ" , you may have to press "other control panel options" at the left side.
Or maybe there is a switch on the external card itself?

I cant find much info on creative's site but that card does have a stereo and a 5.1 channel mode.
So you will have to set it to 5.1.
