I have bought a new sound card. Audigy. Because my onboard HD 7.1 sound card that came with my new socket 775 Motherboard has **** drivers that slow my system, and there is only 1 set of drivers. So my question is, how do i disable my onboard soundcard and can i do this without having the drivers installed, cause the drivers are the main reason i hate the audio card. I just want to use my new sound card, and entirley block my motherboard sound card, but my bios doesnt have any setting to disable onboard sound. Whats that mean, Im guessing it means im stuck...????? Thanks , Granto :-o
There should be an option in the bios to disable the onboard sound , but you could also uninstall the driver and disable the device in the device manager.

thank you very much mate, thats awsome, i knew that was there bu i thought that was to disable the front audio panel. Thanks for ya help mate. Also, in windows media player, does the cpu handle the visualiser or the graphics card, cause sometimes at random, it slows down a bit, but then speeds up. i have celeron d 331 2.66ghz and intel GMA 900 graphics... Thanks bro, ya awsome brother. :-D..
