Dont let the low wattage fool you. Watts dont mean anything when it comes to High current power!!!

You guys told me my sound card would work with this apparently, it doesn't. I need a 6, 7, or 8 channel sound card in order to use all of the speakers. All I have in a IN and OUT plug on my sound card. The book tells me to plug in only 1 and notes "You will only be able to hear out of the Front 2 speakers."

Grrr, guess I need suggestions on sound cards now

Realtek AC97 Audio
This is a 5.1 dolby digital surround card.. You only have one input? Or do you have 5?

Can anyone please suggest a semi cheap sound card that has 3+inputs maybe like 40-70 bucks, I don't know..as long as it's better than my current on board sound and has 3+ inputs, I'm happy.

I guess I can consider it a good thing, I was considering buying a new sound card, this just makes me have to buy one.\

BTW, I want to suggest Techonweb.com, they had a great deal on the speakers and 2 day shipping, Fedex rules

Details about your PC:

1) Click here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/p...ang=en&cc=us&#

2) Click on Product Information

3) Click on Product Specifications

4) On that page scroll down to Sound/Audio

This is what it says:
Sound/audio

Integrated AC97 audio, six channel configurable
Like I said - given that information, your choice of speakers is fine.

What does it mean by six channel configurable? On the back, all I see is Input, Output, and Microphone...
