Try, updating your sound card drivers, to find out about your sound card download the Belarc Advisor from http://www.belarc.com/Programs/advisor.exe, you should then see your sound card listed. Post the make/model back here, and i will find the appropriate link to the drivers for you.

MadGamer:
After you requested me to find out the make and the model of my sound card, I visited Belarc, and found out the following information:
Operating System:
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
Multimedia:
C-Media AC97 Audio Device
I hope that this is enough information for you to point me in the right direction for my to find the latest driver for my sound card. I know you are going away on holiday soon, if MadGamer is not able to find me the information, the please can someone else! ta

The drivers for your card can be found here: http://www.opendrivers.com/freedownl...-download.html

When you install these, you need to restart your computer so that the sound card can aknowledge that the drivers are present.
