Default [Fixed] Help with my Microphone!!!

I record music on my computer by plugging my guitar through an extension then to the mic input, well i did do this until a couple of months ago,my sound went out and my mic. After a couple of days the sound came back, but my Mic doesnt work, it wont record anything.

Any help?

You could have a corrupt sound driver, try going into device manager and uninstalling your sound card, then reboot your PC and let windows re-install it.

I did that and it said Windows needed to keep the drive it had already, i reseated it yesterday and nothing. :-( Any other suggestions

Hey have you tried looking around the internet for the drivers for your sound card? What model is it? Ill try look for them.

Ok, well first, you probably will have to unzip them if you downloaded them. After that, you have to remember in what folder you unzipped them. After that, restart your computer and go into safe mode and try to uninstall the sound card drivers. After that, click scan for hardware changes. After that, you should see that Windows is trying to install some new drivers, speciafy the folder in which you unzip those drivers and click next and you should have installed your sound card drivers like that. I hope that helped!
