Smile New Site Look - New Toys

Hi there and welcome - or welcome back to PC Help Forum where on-line PC Support has Evolved.

So, the look of the site has changed (and we hope you like it) but there's more!

New Features List

1) Look up to the navigation bar above. See the new Forum Jump menu? It gives you just 2 clicks to the forum or sub-forum of your choice.

2) We have added more data fields in the "My PC" information box. Go to User CP > Edit Options to add yours today

3) Posting a large image into your thread? No problem! We have added an excellent automatic image resizing function to the forums. See it in action here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/lounge/17...thread-34.html

4) Spell check every post or thread you make! Simple type your message and hit the button and your text will be spell checked for you...just like MS Word!

5) If you're feeling generous, there's a new, simpler way to donate to PCHF http://www.pchelpforum.com/donate.php

6) Need to see what you've typed before you submit it to the forum? We've added an excellent new "AJAX" post preview system that doesn't even refresh the page, therefore reducing server load AND making it quicker for you to check your message.

7) Multi quote will allow you to quote multiple messages from any one thread, in your reply. For any message you want to quote, just use the button.

..I'll add more when I think of them Enjoy!

Facebook Icon in Profiles and Posts!

Add your Facebook page to your profile and show an icon in every post you make. All you have to do is log in and go here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/profile.php?do=editprofile (bottom of the page). When you have added your Facebook ID, it will show up in your posts like this;

Add your Level of PC Experience to your Profile and Posts!

There's an easy way of telling other Members and Staff just how much you know already about computers. Log in and click here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/profile.php?do=editprofile - then at the top of that page, simply use the drop-down box to select your level of experience!

Don't forget to save (at the bottom of that page). Now every post you make will show your experience level. Be as honest as you can...it's a lot easier to get support if the people supporting you have an idea as to how much you feel you already know.

** Please note that this is now a compulsory field, upon registration, for all new Members

Embedded Videos in Posts!

Need to embed a video into a post/thread instead of just posting the link? Now you can!
- Simply write your post as normal and paste the link to the video as a normal link and let PCHF wizardry take care of the rest!

You can display videos from all of these sources (normal PCHF rules apply)...

  1. YouTube
  2. Google Video
  3. MySpace Video
  4. MetaCafe Video
  5. Yahoo Video v1.0.1
  6. Koreus Video v1.0.1
  7. Sapo Video v1.0.1
  8. video.google.co.uk v1.0.2
  9. Live Leak v1.0.2
  10. Photobucket v1.0.3
  11. Gametrailers v1.0.3
