Well, the Power supply works. I've been on Vista Ultimate x64 for about 7 hours now (mostly installing games and software, as well as exploring the new OS. I scored 5.5 on that Windows power-test thing). I have to say I disagree with the criticisms of Vista. If the computer can handle it it's truly a wonderful and beautiful OS.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll add pictures of it to the Build Gallery! If I do, ignore the enormous clump of wires. I've decided when I upgrade the PSU, it's going to be Modular. The cable management is a nightmare.

Oh, by the way, rather than using the 250GB IDE hard drive I had, I instead went out and bought myself a 500GB SATA Seagate Barracuda. $150 at Staples (ew) but worth every penny. It would have been $40 cheaper on Newegg, but it's worth not having to wait until Wednesday to use this beast.

Glad the PSU works... as for Vista I'm sure it's decent -- if you can get drivers for everything. I do intend to upgrade my system, hopefully this year

You can neaten up that rat's nest-- with some spiral sleeving etc... it will improve appearance and increase internal case airflow. It's tedious-- but worth it.

Okay, let me rephrase that... within a year's time-- is what I meant

This soon after Christmas with a 6-year-old Grandson... the wallet's still smoking
and if you'll notice my user-name... it's very accurate

I already have a lot of them together with tie wraps. It's just that my PSU has SO MANY cables. Think the Thermaltake Armor series chassis, filled to the brim with as many components as possible, and then 10 or so cables left over. That's what my PSU is like. There's just TOO MANY. I'm sure it would be better on just about any other PSU, but this has just pushed me toward Modular.

It actually took me about 4 months before I realized what your username meant. I thought it was jibberish. >_<;;

My Tagan Modular is very nice. Have a well presented box full of PSU cables
