due to circumstances beyond my control.. (aka dead motherboard) my recently purchased TF520 died, just totally fried. there are scorch marks on some of the chipset pins so... oh well. i sent it back, and purchased a new one. its also biostar. a Biostar T-Force TF570SLi, with nforce 570 chipset. i bought this one, because later on if i decide i want to go SLi, i already have the motherboard. it also overclocks, which is good. the only drawback is the northbridge placement. (right between the PCIe16 slots) and it has an active chipset cooler. i prefer passive, but.. oh well.

So far so good.... running Windows update now, no apparent problems yet. post thoughts plz
(P.S. Its so nice to finally have a job and be able to afford new parts)
